Our 7th Annual Mission Day was a success......
BUT .............the year isn't over!
FBC is the Anson County Collection Site for Samaritan's Purse Shoe
Boxes, Operation Christmas Child, and everyone has until Monday,
November 23rd at 10:00 AM to get theirs in. Right now, November
23rd, we are at 148 for FBC and 929 for the county! Thanks!
Sunday, December 6th, is the Ingathering for International Missions,
or Lottie Moon as it has been affectionately called for decades.
May we pray for our missionaries living in difficult and sometimes
dangerous situations overseas and may we support them and
The Great Commission with our offerings.
We have 72 stockings from Anson Crisis Ministry, children between 2
and 12 being raised by parents, grandparents or guardians who are
asking for a little help to make Christmas morning bright.
If you can help by taking a child or two, please see Margot Barnes,
or call 704-695-1300.
Finally, we are collecting funds from all the Association's churches for
the Christmas Miracle Dinners. $35.00 per family will provide all the
fixin's, from turkey through yams and on into dessert for a Christmas
Dinner for 75 of the neediest families on the Anson Crisis Ministry
client list. The goal for FBC is $500; the goal for the county is $1200.
May we thank GOD for having us in His world by making life a little
better for some of His other children.
