Rev. Matthew Walton, Youth & Education Minister
Matthew and his family moved here from Richlands, a small town near Jacksonville in the eastern part of North Carolina.  Matthew earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from North Carolina State University in 1996.  He then went on to earn a Masters of Christian Education from Campbell University's then newly formed Divinity School in 2000.

Matthew has served in the area of youth and children's ministry for nearly 15 years now.
Although Matthew was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he calls North Carolina home since he and his parents moved to the state when he was in the 1st grade.  Matthew grew up in a small community, called Quaker Gap, in the foothills of Stokes County near Hanging Rock State Park.  Matthew has always loved the mountains of North Carolina and feels blessed to finally be serving in a church closer to them.

Next to God, family is the most important thing in Matthew's life.  He and his wife Stacey have been married for almost nine years now.  Their daughter Casey is an exceptional young woman who has just recently graduated high school early and started her college career at NC State University.  You can learn more about Matthew on his facebook page.  Visit it now by clicking here.  You may also contact him personally by email at mattwalton@fbcwadesboro.org.
